Surrealist Portraits
The face is perhaps the most powerful element of the human form. Our identity is captured in our characteristics; our eyes reveal important truths about us. We are constantly trying to read facial expressions to understand our interlocutors; their intelligence, their feelings, their desires.
But is this the truth? Very often we assume we know people best by looking at facial expressions. In the street, in restaurants or even on public transport, we tend to distort reality by judging too quickly. And yet there is so much more behind the beauty of a face.
My work examines the face through disconnection and deconstruction.
This series also contains a lot of shifts and overlapping structures.
